An Bord Pleanala approves College Square 21-storey tower
Marlet’s exciting plans for its College Square landmark have received further boost with An Bord Pleanala granting permission to add a 10-storey residential tower to the top of the already approved 11-storey office block.
The new residential tower located at the corner of Tara St and Poolbeg St will deliver 54 high-end apartments and duplexes. The 45 one-bedroom and 9 two-bedroom will be complemented by 208 sqm (2,200 sq ft) of internal communal amenity space, and landscaped terrace areas.
Arguably one of the most exciting mixed-use development additions to Dublin’s city centre in a generation, College Square will also offer 50,000 sqm (540,000 sq ft) of Grade A office space, designed to an exceptionally high standard to achieve LEED Platinum.
The proposed scheme will also see the creation of a landscaped public plaza area with plenty of pedestrian through routes, and a new shopping district on Tara St and Townsend St, offering 1,700 sqm (18,300 sq ft) of retail space including cafés, shops and restaurants, for residents and locals to enjoy.
