Site Engineer
Marlet Property Group have a unique opportunity for a high calibre site engineer to join their team in Dublin.
The Site Engineer will provide advice in the planning, co-ordination and supervision of technical aspects of our construction projects, working closely with the Project Managers, Design Team and the construction team to ensure a successful project is delivered. The site engineer’s role will play a vital role in successfully delivering our construction projects.
Job Description
- Setting out, levelling, and surveying the site in accordance with the Drawings and Specification
- Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors,
- Ensuring Compliance with all aspects of H&S and reporting any information effecting health and safety for any person on a proposed site
- Liaise with any consultants, subcontractors, site supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce.
- Liaising with the Project Manager/planner regarding construction programme, programme constraints etc.,
- Resolving technical issues with employer’s representatives, suppliers, subcontractors and statutory authorities,
- Quality control in accordance with company procedures, method statements, quality plans and inspection and test plans,
- Analysing Utility drawing & managing utilities providers
- Set up site meetings with relevant stakeholders, Local Authorities, Homeowners, Developers etc.
- Markup & issue drawings to designers noting site constraints, potential service clashes, proposed route, most efficient & cost effective installation.
- Working to a programme deadline
- Monitoring Subcontractor progress & performance
Key skills required:
- A degree/master’s in civil engineering
- A member of a relevant Professional Institution.
- 5 + years’ experience
The Candidate:
- Commercial, retail and residential experience is a requirement for this position.
- An ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets.
- A willingness to attend training and to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.
- Must have strong knowledge of building details and construction technology
- To have good spoken and written communication skills
- To be methodical, pay attention to detail and be accurate
- Confident working with people at all levels and willing to work in a team
- To be self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative and manage a team of quantity surveyor on a number of projects.
